Terms and conditions of sale

1. Scope and products

These terms apply to purchases of used and antiquarian books from Livraria Poeira de Letras. Each book is an individual physical copy; review the listing, description, photos and condition notes before ordering.

2. Prices and shipping

Prices are in euros and include the stated Correio Editorial shipping to mainland Portugal and the Autonomous Regions. Registered, express or other delivery requires prior agreement and any extra cost will be disclosed before confirmation.

3. Orders and payment

The cart prepares an order, but the customer must send the prepared WhatsApp message; opening the app does not send it automatically. The order remains pending until the shop confirms availability and details. Payment is arranged directly by MB WAY, Revolut or bank transfer. Wait for confirmed instructions before paying; the website does not collect payment automatically.

4. Delivery

Delivery is by Correio Editorial (CTT) or, by agreement, local delivery in the Caldas da Rainha area. The shop informs the customer when the parcel is handed to the postal operator. Timing is communicated upon confirmation, subject to statutory deadlines. Customers must provide accurate delivery details.

5. Withdrawal and returns

For consumer distance purchases, a 14-day withdrawal period generally applies from receipt, without giving a reason, subject to legal exceptions. To exercise it, contact poeira.letras@gmail.com or +351 934 197 336, stating the order reference and your decision. Goods must be returned within the statutory period. Unless otherwise agreed or required prior information was not provided, the consumer bears the direct return cost. Refunds follow statutory rules. These terms do not limit statutory rights where a book arrives damaged, differs from its description or is non-conforming.

6. Availability and complaints

Each book is a unique copy and availability may change until confirmation. If unavailable or an obvious error exists, the shop will contact the customer and, if necessary, cancel the order and refund amounts received. 7. Governing law

Portuguese law and mandatory consumer-protection rules apply.
